Data privacy information for using the Trassen Defender App

  1. General provisions

Telekom Deutschland GmbH attaches great importance to protecting your personal data. We always inform you what personal data we collect from the app, how your data is used and how you can influence the process. This data privacy information provides answers to the most important questions.

 

  1. What data is collected and how is it used?
    1. To provide our services

When registering: To register for the app, enter your last name, your mobile number and your e-mail address as well as the name of your company, its address and telephone number. This data is required for authentication.

 

When using the app: When you use the app, our servers temporarily record the IP address of your device and other technical features such as the requested content. This data is erased after each Internet session is concluded.

 

In this App you have the possibility to dictate your text beside using the keypad for the input.

“Type text by speaking” (Google) or “Dictation” (Apple) are functionalities that the operating system provides to our app. By using this function your voice input will be transferred to and processed by a third party (e. g. Apple or Google). The result will be transferred back to our app and put into the input field.  For more details to this functionality and how you can switch it on or off please inform yourself by the respective operating system provider.

 

Other personal details will not be collected unless you provide this information voluntarily.

 

  1. Permissions

In order to use the app on your device, the app must have access to various functions and data from your device. Therefore, it is necessary that you accept specific permissions.

The categories of permissions vary through the different manufactures. E.g., Android groups permissions to permission groups, which you only can accept altogether.

As far as you have given the permission, we will use it in the following specified described scale:

 

Location data

The app needs information about your current location to locate the reported cable fault. 

 

Internet communication

The app needs access to the internet through Wi-Fi or mobile network to send the required information.

 

Camera, microphone, USB, photo, video, message content etc.

The app needs access to camera to take relevant pictures.

 

  1. Where is my data processed?

Your data is processed in Germany. In line with legal provisions data is also processed in countries inside and outside the EU.

 

  1. How secure is my data?

We have taken extensive technical and operational security precautions under German law to protect your data against unauthorized access and misuse.

 

  1. Is my data passed on to third parties, e.g. public authorities?

In certain cases, we are legally obliged to pass on data if requested to do so by a state body. 

 

We do not pass on your data to third parties for any other purpose, unless you have given explicit permission to do so.

 

  1. Does the app send push notifications?

Push notifications are messages that the app sends to your device and that are displayed with top priority. This app uses push notifications in the delivery state. 

 

  1. Will I be informed about changes in this data privacy information?

Should we have to change this data privacy information, we will notify you of any changes we have made in the course of software updates. 

 

  1. Can I obtain information about my data which is stored?

You may request, free of charge, information on the scope, origin and recipients of the stored data as well as the purpose of storage.

You may request that incorrect data is being corrected at any time.
